Self-Denial 2026: Motivated by love
Motivated by Love
Everything God does flow from His love for His creation. Through His love, we experience healing, encouragement, and renewed hope. As followers of Jesus, we are called not only to receive these gifts, but also to share them with others through practical acts of kindness, compassion and service.
The theme of this year’s Self-Denial Appeal, Motivated by Love, invites us to reflect on how God’s love shapes our response to the needs of others. Across our territory and around the world, The Salvation Army continues to serve people facing hardship and uncertainty. The stories from Malawi, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Fiji are powerful examples of love put into action, demonstrating how lives can be transformed when people respond with faith, generosity and compassion.
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.
Do everything in love.
1 Corinthians 16:13-14
